Reduction of particulate emissions

With the right combination of iDisc® II and brake pads, a reduction in fine particulate emissions of up to 90% compared to conventional brake discs is possible. Depending on the load profile and application area, we use a 1- or 2-layer coating system with or without carbide reinforcement for our customers.

Corrosion-resistant
and wear-resistant

Twice the lifestime

Our iDisc® II also excels in meeting additional environmental requirements. The carbide coating provides increased corrosion resistance, which is especially beneficial for electric vehicles. The higher surface hardness results in reduced wear of the brake disc. As a result, the discs can be used for a significantly longer period, depending on the design.

Impressive
performance

From electric cars to commercial vehicles

A hard-metal coating on the brake disc often comes with challenges regarding performance, particularly in terms of friction stability and comfort. However, based on the experience we've gained since 2017 with our iDisc® I in serial production, we guarantee our customers a carbide-coated brake disc with impressive performance.
